This was a hard photo to take as the wave extended the entire length of the beach and would break early in some places at random times. In order to get the shot I had to perch myself on a rock and hang out over the water. My buddy Jon had the back of my jacket, preventing me from taking the plunge. It took a whole roll of film (the last one I had) but I finally got it on near the last shot of the roll. Though I didn't know for sure until I processed it when I got home.
